DESCRIPTION:OBJECTIVE\nSuccessful completion of the Med Dive 1 program provides the student with skills required to improve their ability to recognize potentially life-threatening signs and symptoms associated with scuba diving injuries. Learning the cause\, affects\, signs\, and symptoms of decompression illness and arterial gas embolism will be discussed\, as well as in-field stabilization. \nPREREQUISITES\n\nMember of a Public Safety Agency\nAt least 18 years old\nRSTC Medical Statement\nCurrent First Aid\, EMT or Paramedic certification\nCurrent CPR certification\n\nBRING TO CLASS\n\nPen and paper for note- taking and sketching.
