DESCRIPTION:OBJECTIVE\nThis course prepares first responders from all public safety disciplines the proven ice rescue techniques and use of proper equipment to maximize positive outcomes in challenging surface ice rescue situations. \nPREREQUISITES\n\nAt least 18 years of age\nMember of a Public Safety Agency\nProof of current First Aid and CPR training\n\nBRING TO CLASS\nAll students will need: \n\nU.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation\nDevice (PFD)\nA knife\nA whistle\nAdequate clothing for working outside\nPen and paper for taking notes.\n\nIf the student has access to a cold water rescue suit or dry suit\, they should bring it to class. It is advised that students bring a dry set of clothing.
