Full Face Mask (FFM)
Duration:  1 day (8 hours)
Recommended for:  certified divers and surface support personnel

Prerequisites:

• Member of a public safety agency
• At least 18 years of age
• Complete RSTC Medical Statement (including physician signature, if applicable

Full Face Mask addresses the proper precautions needed when diving in potentially hazards conditions. Without proper protection from a potentially hazardous diving environment, your rescue/recovery operation may be hindered or halted. One of the first steps to preparing for contaminated water or ice diving is learning how to dive using a full face mask. Topics include: history of the full face mask, types, accessories, size aND fit, emergency procedures, and maintenance.

Note To Applicants
This program is designed for personnel who are physically fit. Participants are encouraged to participate after successfully completing the IADRS Watermanship Test or testing to a fitness level of 13 MET (Metabolic Equivalents) or greater. Participants with aerobic fitness questions or concerns should consult their physician prior to in-water training.
